Thank you to everyone who helped make our Easter Sunday service such a lovely, joyous occasion. The church was looking absolutely beautiful, and it was lovely to see so many people of all ages to hear the Good News, not least the good news that nobody objected during the Reading of the Banns for Megan and Francis’s forthcoming marriage in the church! The young contingent added panache to the otherwise potentially solemn procession up for communion, with some brilliant stage whispers in the chancel (“What are they all drinking? Will we get some?”) and the home made flapjacks, freshly brewed coffee, hot sausage rolls and sherry seemed to hit the spot. Many thanks, too, to Glyn and Claire for donating their Easter eggs in knitted egg cosies basket contraption (patent pending) and to all who signed the little form for subscribing to this newsletter.
We hope to see you on Friday at 7 o’clock in the Hall for the annual meeting – the sausage rolls will be back! – but in the meantime, do let me know if you have any suggestions for the future, whether it’s choice of hymns or choice of post-church tipple!
