Weddings

Shalfleet Church has been used for centuries for weddings, and is the perfect place to celebrate that special occasion. We would love to welcome you into the church and are able to help with some of the logistics on what is invariably quite a stressful and busy day. Whether it is sorting the flowers, advising on hymns and readings, setting up sound systems… not to mention arranging the reading of the banns and the payment of the church licence fees, we are here to help.

An indicative list of the charges that you will face is given below (for full details, please see the list of parochial fees on the Church of England website):

* The charge for heating is a contribution to the cost incurred by the church for keeping the church warm and dry and may, at the discretion of the PCC, be reduced during summer months.

Funerals

On a less happy note, Shalfleet Church is a peaceful and beautiful place for a funeral, and we are extremely lucky still to have room in our beautiful churchyard, unlike many similar churches on the Island. Charges for funerals are a little more complicated than for weddings, and are as follows:
