We were delighted to welcome Years 5 and 6 of the school to the church for their annual carols, and Lizzie Grainger led a beautiful and uplifting service. The children began by helping to decorate the tree, and then there were readings and singing followed by jugs of hot chocolate and mince pies.

This was followed by our annual Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, for which once more the church was full and everyone much enjoyed hearing the story again, and marking it with some lovely carol singing, followed by mulled wine and a feast of hot goodies prepared by HIs Lordship and Miranda.

The under pew heating came into its own, and we all felt the Christmas season was well and truly upon us. Happy Christmas to you all!
