It was a huge pleasure to be back in church on Sunday for a lovely service of Evensong from the Book of Common Prayer. After months and months of lockdown, at long last we were back in our beautiful church, and a hearty congregation of 24 enjoyed this timeless service, which our friend Peter Johnson took for us, albeit masked up and unable to sing.

We hope this will be the first of many services to come as we gradually ease back into a state approaching near-normality. Work on the East window is nearly complete, and it should not be long before our beloved church is back to her old self, with summer sunshine streaming through her smart new windows and, before too much longer, the sound of singing once more within her ancient walls.
